1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Akinwealth CareerAced web application or PWA, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Akinwealth CareerAced. By using the app, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Service Description
Akinwealth CareerAced is a career management platform providing the following tools:
- Job Tracker: Organize and monitor job applications.
- Resume Builder: Tools to draft and refine professional resumes.
- Interview Prep: Guided practice modules and resources.
- AI Coaches: Virtual assistants for career guidance.
- Mentor Search: Platforms for connecting with industry professionals.
- Networking Tools, Goal Setting, Learning Modules, and Relocation Resources.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Subscription Plans and Billing
Akinwealth CareerAced offers a recurring subscription plan billed through Base44 Payments (powered by Wix).
- Recurring billing. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel. By starting a subscription, you authorize us (and Wix) to charge your payment method on file for each renewal.
- 14-day free trial. New subscribers may begin a 14-day free trial that provides full access to premium features, including unlimited AI actions. A valid payment method is required at the time you start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card will be automatically charged on day 15 and on each renewal thereafter.
- Cancel anytime. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing cycle - you retain access through the end of that cycle, and no further charges are made. You may also cancel a pending trial at any point before day 15 to avoid being charged.
- One-time free AI taste. If you have not started a subscription, you receive a one-time, non-replenished allowance of five (5) free AI actions at no cost and without a card. This allowance does not reset and is intended only as a limited introduction to the platform. Unlimited AI actions require an active subscription.
- Grandfathered accounts. Certain accounts that purchased access before the move to recurring billing retain their prior prepaid term. Those existing terms are honored until they expire and are not auto-renewed or auto-charged unless you choose to start a new recurring subscription.
6. Payments
All payments are processed securely through "Base44 Payments," powered by Wix. By making a payment or starting a subscription, you authorize the charge and confirm that you are an authorized user of the payment method provided. Recurring charges will appear from your payment method on each renewal date until you cancel.
7. Refunds
As Akinwealth CareerAced provides digital goods and services, payments are generally non-refundable. Specifically:
- Free trial. If you cancel before the end of your 14-day trial, you will not be charged, and no refund is necessary.
- After the trial / recurring cycles. Refunds are not provided for partially used billing cycles; you retain access through the end of the cycle you have already paid for.
- Grandfathered prepaid accounts. Refund requests for previously purchased prepaid access are considered on a case-by-case basis for strictly unused time remaining on your account.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose, to distribute malware, to harass other users, or to attempt to scrape or gain unauthorized access to our systems or user data.
9. AI Content Disclaimer
AI-generated content, including feedback from AI Coaches, is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional legal, career, financial, or academic advice. You are responsible for verifying any information provided by our AI tools before relying on it for critical decisions.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, design, software, and intellectual property associated with Akinwealth CareerAced are the exclusive property of Akinwealth or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
11. Third-Party Links
Our app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services.
12. "As Is" Disclaimer
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Akinwealth makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the service or that it will meet your specific career requirements.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Akinwealth shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the platform.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
15. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, without notice, for violation of these terms or any other conduct we deem harmful to our platform or users.
16. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
